Hey guys! I hope you all are having a great day so far. Life has been steady for me the past week. Nothing much has happened. I have only been struggling to get 8 hours of sleep as I'm easily interrupted nowadays. Also, I and my sisters started to workout/exercise as well. We have been planning to do so months ago, but we always get too lazy to do it. I just hope that we'd be determined enough to get the hang of it and faithfully work on it.
Anyway, this post has got to be one of the exciting ones I'll be doing as it is one way to discover new blogs and be discovered by answering questions. I have been tagged by Abbie of abbiechic.com and here it is... The Blogger Tag
Q1: How tall are you?
It's funny how all this time I thought I was at least 5'3" but someone in this house keeps on bugging me that she's taller and that I only stand 5'2" and a half.. Hi, Tina!
Q2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
This question kept me thinking but I think playing the keyboard and acoustic guitar wouldn't be some sort of a hidden talent so I'd go with washing tons of dishes in just a few minutes. 7 minutes? Yes. I honestly freak out when things are done in a slow manner and when people tell me to slow down. It's just that I'm not comfortable about the slowly but surely rule when I can do things fast and sure. When random people ask me questions, I answer them with 1-2 words, the truth is that my mind has already explained my answer thoroughly. I don't know if it's good or bad, but yeah. Also, I once knew how to play Stand by Me on the bass guitar and Give Me Your Eyes by Brandon Heath on the drums! I'm just not sure if the muscle memory's still there as I haven't come in contact to those instruments yet. I honestly miss those days when I had access to a lot of musical instruments in our previous church that my learning wasn't limited so I was able to do a few things on different instruments at that time — except on the electric guitar.
Q3: What’s your biggest blog-related pet peeve?
It would certainly be that instance when my web host goes crazy and my draft automatically gets deleted. Nothing gets worst than re-writing something then you realize that it was not as good as the first one.
Q4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
It would be those people who easily misjudge others. You know, instead of knowing the whole story first, they instead come up with ideas about how you live your life and what you do. They unfortunately base their so-called "facts" on worthless assumptions that they've made. Uggghh. It just pisses me off -- the reason why I'm not anymore comfortable talking about my life because I've got really tough experiences about this. Sad life.
Q5: What’s your favourite song?
Right now, I'm into All We Know by Chainsmokers. Favorites change from time to time so yup!
Q6: What’s your favourite social media website?
I'd go with Twitter because it actually helps me know more bloggers and it's quite easy to use. I love the atmosphere on Twitter. No to negative vibes!
Q7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
I love reading so I often am stuck in reading articles about writing on Medium and a range of stories on Wattpad. If not, I read blogs online or stalk random people on Instagram.
Q8: What’s your favourite junk food?
Burger. Doritos. Burger. Doritos. #Hungry
Q9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
I have cats and some of them are Snow, Kitty and Princess.
These are their photos to begin with.
Q10: What are your number one favorite nonfiction and fiction books?
I like The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho for my favorite fiction book. I just love how simply yet beautifully written it is. For my favorite non-fiction book, it would be Tough Questions about God, Faith and Life by Charles Colson. I bought it for just aed 5 when Logos Hope came to Dubai last 2011. It's still intact until today and to be honest, this book really helped answer my questions about everything. I find it useful whenever my faith is being questioned and when I need resources for a Bible Study etc.
Q11: What’s your favorite beauty product or tool?
I don't have much of beauty products but I love my Rimmel Color Rush Balm given by cousin.
Q12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
I always get embarrassed so I'm not surprised if I don't remember when the last time is. But if I were to choose one event that's really memorable, it would be last October 2015 when I auditioned at church and my hands were literally trembling and shaking as I played the piano. When I was asked what key the song was in, I answered key of A instead of Key of E. Common sense, Hannah! COMMON SENSE. #facepalm
Q13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Laban Up because I'm not allowed to drink coffee, tea, milk and soft-drinks. Not even citrus juices.
Q14: What’s your favourite movie?
I have lots of favorite movies but I'd go with Narnia 1,2,3 all the way!
Q15: What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
It would be anything anatomy or health-related in Science. I have a weird phobia associated with imperfections in the physical body ( I freak out, really ) but I don't get why studying about the human body is still my favorite even until now.
Q16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I like living in the UAE because it literally is my home, but I know that the world has still so much to offer and I can't wait for the time when I finally get to explore the world.
Q17: PC or Mac?
I use PC so I'd choose PC.
Q18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? (or kind gesture from a friend)
My social life is dead so there's nothing so far.
Q19: Favourite celebrity?
Maine Mendoza (a Filipino celebrity) for her quirky personality and the many things we have in common. From writing to our love for high-heeled shoes. I also admire Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba for their beautiful faces!
Q20: What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
A lot! I can't choose :)
Q21: Who is your biggest inspiration?
Maine Mendoza because she was just a simple girl before her fame, ya know!
Q22: What is your favourite blog to read?
There are a lot of blogs out there, but I like reading personal blogs rather than of beauty/fashion/ travel etc because I love getting insights from different people.
Q23: What is your favourite high street shop?
Not sure but would H&M fit in?
Q24: Are you in education or do you work?
Still studying, I'm home-schooled. I'm actually supposed to graduate in College way, way back but due to unlikely circumstances, I'm here trying to patch up with a lot of things. A lot.
Q25: One thing you are proud of?
Maybe I'm not in that point yet, but it would definitely be the time I get to work with children. Also, I'm proud that my family's going strong despite the numerous challenges we're facing since day one.
Below, I have nominated some bloggers to answer the same questions and tag other bloggers too.
Here they are:
Perks of Mollie Quirk
A Crush on Life
Hope you loved this post as much as I did!
I live an ordinary life; striving and making it work in the giant sandpit aka Dubai. My life isn't perfect (I wish it was!) But I guess there's something about the imperfection in my journey that makes it worth the write and share. I believe that we don't have to have everything figured out because if we do, a lifetime won't be enough...
