I don't know how to start this post, but I would like to thank Kristen of Unfading Beauty Ministries for nominating me! I am truly happy to answer the following questions as a response to this blog award. Hope you like this!
About the Award: The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to bloggers by other bloggers who are creative, positive, and inspiring.
What is the toughest part of blogging for you?
When I have so many formed words on my mind but don't have the grit to start the actual typing! I also always find myself throwing all those words into my mental recycle bin and totally forget about it the next day. What a waste, right? And... it's so hard to keep up with technology too, haha!
What is the most enjoyable part?
The response I get from the readers. I am just humbled by all the encouraging messages I get on my social media accounts. Those kind words keep me going, honestly. Also, I just feel so blessed that I can use blogging as a platform where I can share pieces of my journey where people can learn from and relate!
Is there something that keeps you going through tough times?
First, it would be Jesus. He's my way when I'm losing direction; my truth when everything around me seems to be but a big lie, and my life when I feel like everything has come to an end. Second, it would be my family. I know they'll always be there to back me up and yup...I'll be there to support them too!
What's your favorite quote?
I've mentioned this before... it's a quote by Professor Harold Hill:
You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays.
What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
Chicken Isaw! It's a Filipino street food that I've only tried once my entire life. It's made of chicken intestine and is often barbecued. It doesn't taste bad but it's definitely weird, yes
Besides blogging, what else do you enjoy?
I enjoy teasing my sisters about random things and I piss them off eventually, haha! I also enjoy listening to Coldplay and Chainsmokers just because I love the melodies that they come up with. One more thing I also enjoy doing is volunteering at church activities. Never gets boring!
Would you rather fly or sail somewhere?
I've always wanted to volunteer at the Logos Hope Ships aka the floating library, but the thought of drowning and not knowing how to survive in a shipwreck just scares me a lot! So even if I'm also afraid of plane crashes, I'd rather fly just because it's easier & faster to get to one place via air than sea. Get me? Haha!
Who do you admire most and why?
I would say that my mom has to be one of the people I really, really admire. Why? Because she seems to be so open-minded about things that whenever I have a hard time accepting changes, she'll be the one to tell me that it's okay and that I'll be okay. My mom's really brave too. She doesn't just back -out as long that she's in the right path. She may be quiet at times, but I guess that's where I got the "silent treatment" from. It's when no one wants to listen to you, be the first to listen and.... do not say anything!
Are you an Apple or an Android person?
I'm running on Android right now but would love to switch to Apple soon! If it doesn't happen soon though, then I'm pretty contented with what I have as long as I have the device to connect, share and write!
What inspires you?
I've got different inspiration for different things. My family inspires me when I know I have to work hard no matter how hard work is. I also get inspiration from random people I meet, stories I read and life-changing movies I watch. It depends on my current situation always.
Is this your first blogging award?
Nope! This is my second and boy am I so thankful & happy! My first one's here: Liebster Blog Award
Again, thank you so much for reading!
I'm nominating these awesome bloggers for the Sunshine Blogger Award. All they'll have to do is answer the same questions I answered and nominate a few more bloggers who they think are worthy of the award.
I live an ordinary life; striving and making it work in the giant sandpit aka Dubai. My life isn't perfect (I wish it was!) But I guess there's something about the imperfection in my journey that makes it worth the write and share. I believe that we don't have to have everything figured out because if we do, a lifetime won't be enough.
Rest if you must, but don't you quit!
