As you may all know, I have recently teamed up with fOOfOO slippers in bringing you a sense of uniqueness and elegance wherever you are. These bespoke slippers which are made from organic sheepskin and handcrafted by Portuguese artisans are so much more than just slippers. For you all to know more about the beginnings of fOOfOO, here's a little Q&A with its dedicated creators, Rob and Will.
Given the idea of the perfect life, the world spontaneously sheds light on how we should live our lives. It is often held in a perspective that is quite far from what the Bible holds as upright. As I'm in the last month of holding on to the word "teen" whenever I mention my age, I can only look back and thank God for being pretty hands-on in what I considered the most critical stage of my life.
It’s amazing to know that each one of us possesses unique talents in which we get to express ourselves much better. And music agrees to that. I must say, when I began playing the keyboard, I felt more expressive and productive in any kind of task given to me. It’s a stress reliever though it really takes hard work to be competent enough and I must admit, I’m still in the process of learning how to play it effectively.
There are a lot of instruments that were present even in the old times and were just developed lately, although some still stick to the old ones until today. According to research, one of the earliest known instruments was the drums. In fact, the first drum was invented around 30,000 years ago with an animal stretch made of an elephant’s skin as it was prevented from scavenging during the ice age. Since then, it was developed and has made an impact in so many people’s lives. Playing the drums offer a lot of benefits not just physically but also mentally as it proves to help drummers have that distinct coordination between the mind and body.
I've always been told that one good way to learn about an instrument is too seek for advices and tips from someone who's very well inclined to the instrument. Given that, I've asked a drummer I came across on Instagram to help us out. Here's Eddy Barco, everyone!
A couple of days ago, I was on the search for some new music and musicians when I came across a video shared on my Facebook timeline. Without hesitation, I clicked on the link and I was directed to the video itself. The caption said: “This Hillsong Young and Free mashup currently has 80, 324 views on YouTube. I'm blown away. I never thought this video would get over 1,000 views let alone 80,000. Thanks so much for liking and sharing it." I was so amazed by how this guy had sang some covers of a couple of songs which really sounded good and sweet. He has mashed up a few songs which already hit thousands of views on Youtube, looking forward for more. Given that I was already on Facebook, I stalked a little bit (just a little bit) more about him and later ended up on his official page. To make the long story short, I messaged him and asked if I could put up a little article focused mainly on his music and he said yes!! So here ya guys, meet Michael Fogarty!
Thanks for making it to this portion of the internet. I am truly grateful for each one of you for reading my entries! Most of what I've written here are unspoken words — words I wish I could've said or shared with anyone in person but has remained in my heart until I was able to write it in here.
My life's full of downs than ups, but through it all, I have seen and tasted the sweetness of God's grace and love. With that, I can tell you with a convinced heart that God is faithful, He is good and He never runs out of love for you and for me. Hope you enjoy your read(s)!
Rest if you must, but don't you quit!
