DOGS, CATS, FISHES,BIRDS WHATEVER THEY MAY BE, WE CALL THEM PETS, OUR FRIENDS FOREVER THEY'LL BE.
Many people in the society nowadays own animals, keep them in their homes, feed them and provide them their needs. We call them pets, we treat them as friends or even members of our families. For some, they are just a past-time, one day favorite when life gets a little boring.
Growing up in a family who have tons of pets, I realized that these animals we call our pets have something much more to offer. We owe them something because of the benefits we get from them.
I have discovered 3 benefits and here they are:
1.They help us have a stronger immune system
I have discovered that people living with pets are healthier, and have stronger immune system than those who don't. I did a little research and found out that many health experts ended up in the same conclusion that kids who grew up with pets at home are a lot healthier and less-prone to allergies and other health problems.
See the benefit? It's just 1 of the 3 benefits I have discovered. Keep reading to know more!
2. A very special kind of Love
Having a pet at home is a give and take process. We give them love in exchange of love. The love we get from pets are a special and unique kind of love that humans can't give us. They are very much loyal and faithful compared to humans.
As the saying goes: 'The more I get to know people, the more I love my dog' And I find this to be very true.
3. Pets are good Stress-Relievers
Yes. Our pets can serve as an effective stress reliever. They're a lot more better than coffee, chocolates or late night movies. So if you feel stressed, you can walk your dog around the neighborhood, play with your cats or feed your fishes etc. They are also good convo buddies which means you can talk your problems out to them and they have no choice but to listen to you. They are pretty good listeners. Thumbs up!
Now that you know the benefits, and the advantages of having pets, what then are you supposed to do?
My suggestion, pay a lot more attention to them now more than you do before. You can't as well treat them as humans but you can make a very special place for them in your hearts.
Thanks for making it to this portion of the internet. I am truly grateful for each one of you for reading my entries! Most of what I've written here are unspoken words — words I wish I could've said or shared with anyone in person but has remained in my heart until I was able to write it in here.
My life's full of downs than ups, but through it all, I have seen and tasted the sweetness of God's grace and love. With that, I can tell you with a convinced heart that God is faithful, He is good and He never runs out of love for you and for me. Hope you enjoy your read(s)!
Rest if you must, but don't you quit!
