We probably know who Justin Bieber is, he’s the internet sensation who turned a star and has already bagged several awards in the music industry, the one who has such an amazing talent in music, the one who’s really sweet and caring to his fans, the one who jumped over the gate to get near his huge amount of supporters and of course, the bad side is how he become childish and abusive to himself for the past few years. The one who looked like he didn’t respect anyone like he really did before. But what if all of a sudden, he changed for the better?
What if he wasn’t the rude and stupid Justin anymore? What if he wanted to change himself because he realized he wasn’t being too good or nice lately? What does it sound like to you? Do you think he’s done a good or a bad thing? Who knows, it might just be a scheme to get loads of support from religious people or maybe he’s just confused which possibly caused him to make arbitrary decisions. But what if his change was sincere and genuine? Would you judge him for the decisions he had made? Would you be one of those ex - Beliebers who would annoyingly mock him for his faith? The answer is unknown. It’s hard to judge people and base our assumptions on uncertain facts.
The thing is, the news that has been coming around lately about Justin standing for his faith made people really wonder what happened to him. Whether you think he’s done a good or a bad thing, at least he chose to change... for the better.
Here are some of his statements and revelations which in either way speaks about his faith and belief in God:
Speaking about religion and a relationship with God,
It’s like a girlfriend. If I have an awesome, bomb girlfriend, I’m gonna wanna show her off and go around and tell people my girl is the s–t. I’m not gonna cheat on her because she’s the best. It’s like with God: The whole thing with religion is you present yourself holy and bring your offerings so that God can bless you, when the whole point of the relationship [should be], “No, I’m gonna do this because he loves me. I’m gonna do this because he’s amazing and not because [I] have to, [but] because [I] want to.” That’s the whole thing with religion that’s been throwing off the people. It’s not a “have to.” It should be just like a personal relationship. Like, “Hey, I love you because you first loved me.”
Speaking about his confidence that’s found in God,
Yeah. I do. In a different way. I feel invincible like, nothing is bigger than God. If God’s for me, who can be against me? That’s helped me in a lot of situations where I feel judged. It gives you confidence and you can carry yourself in a cool way, but it’s not cocky. It’s a confidence that’s a godly confidence. That’s what I always want. I wanna be loved for being a good dude and for being confident in myself because I know who I am and what I carry and what I sacrifice.
Here are some more of his photos from Instagram that clearly speaks about his Faith in God:
Yes, Justin. It’s in the hardest and most confusing times in life that we get to learn from all our mistakes and choose to do something better for ourselves and everything else that comes in between.
Here is another post with a captured photo of the song he has been listening to at that time. ‘This is Living’ is a Christian song sung by Hillsong Young and Free. Bieber’s caption read:
“This reminds me how amazing life is supposed to be.. If you are discouraged listen to this song it will bring you supernatural peace, at least it did for me! #stepoutonfaith”
This photo also shows about the speakers at a Hillsong event, which Justin also took to Instagram.
Another photo on Instagram is one that shows he’s writing something with the caption: "The old is gone the new is here" #workinprogress
Whether you think he’s done the right thing or not, that’s not for us to decide. Let’s just give him the benefit of the doubt. We all know that he has a strong faith and it will always show no matter what. There are always things that surprise us, but when we look at the brighter side, Justin is not being overly religious and holy and most of all, he’s not trying to convince anybody to do the same, he’s just being who he thinks he’s supposed to be. He is one example that a person can change inside out when he has the will to do so. Change is constant, it is a choice we have to make, and a step of faith.
