Finally, I get to post here again. It's been a while since I've blogged about my faith. I admit, I've ran out of ideas regarding on what to post and I really hate the feeling when I couldn't think of what to write. But recently, I've bumped into a person who seemed to be so childish. I don't want to go into details, but his actions really match the saying "Actions speak louder than words". In fact, he acted like his age wasn't double as mine. And it can be pretty weird. Then I realized, that sometimes when we talk to God, we also act so childish in a way that we think we should get what we want RIGHT away.
We end up with tantrums when God's answer to our prayers are not yet clear enough. Yes?
Every person, Christian or not Christian goes through this stage in life. It goes the same for everyone. I, myself, have gone through this situation and I just cried all night long asking why God didn't give me what I asked of Him. I've always asked why God isn't fair enough. I just felt like He doesn't care anymore. I mean, does he? My family's been through sooooooooooo many struggles ( the 11 O's are not enough to describe it) that I sometimes can't contain the hard feelings. In the end, I fall into the realization that life doesn't just stop here. Probably, God's teaching me something, like patience. God is still working on you and me! Never give up. Yes, we can come to God like a child does to his father, but when we can't see God's answers yet, then I think that's the time we have to act our age and pray. Continue in the Faith, and pursue Jesus!
So, I've thought of listing some verses that would give you some encouragement as you go through life.
1. Rest in HIM
"I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me." -Psalm 3:5
2. Take a prayer break
"Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything."
3. He cares for you
"Cast all your anxiety on HIM because HE cares for you."
-1 Peter 5:7
4. GOD will renew your strength
"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
- Isaiah 40:31
5. Trust in HIM
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me." - John 14:1
These are the verses I always remember when I am down, and burdened. It lights up a different kind of spark that this world can't. Always remember that there is power in God's words. And also, as we pray for ourselves and loved ones, let's not forget to pray for the people especially the children who are suffering in other parts of the world. That God's peace and grace be with them as they go through the struggles they are facing.
