EDUCATION BEGINS AT HOME AND I APPLAUD THE PARENTS WHO RECOGNIZE THAT THEY - NOT SOMEONE ELSE MUST TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSURE THAT THEIR CHILDREN ARE WELL EDUCATED.
If you are to be asked, how would you know the difference between an educated from an uneducated person?
Many would probably say that the difference is an educated person can read, write and count while the uneducated person can't. But I guess there's a lot more difference. It's more than just reading, writing and counting. I jotted some of the differences I noticed between the two and I thought I'd like to share them here on my blog. I may not be able to cover everything but here are some of them.
1. Manners Based On Actions
'Manners'- a person's outward way of behaving towards others.
An educated person knows and must know how to behave well; in front of people,
during meals (table manners), during events and even during at home. I can't teach how to be well-mannered because it is the parents' responsibility to always teach their kids what it means to be well-mannered. Anything that goes opposite is obviously not a part of what good manners means.
2.Respect Based On Words
'Respect'- due regard for the feelings, wishes, or rights of others
Human beings ought to have respect for one another. This may not only work in words but that's what I'll be stressing out here. Respect is a short word and when asked about the meaning of this word, many would answer differently. It's either the way we talk or act towards others. Respect is thinking very well before you even open your mouth to say something. It's part of showing honor to the people you talk to. No matter who they are or what their social status is.
3.Values Based On Thoughts
'Values'- principles or standards of behavior; one's judgement of what is important in life.
As a kid, I would always hear my parents ask me "Where's your values? " I always didn't know what to answer but I knew that it had a deep meaning. Values doesn't always come from our actions and words but it also comes from our thoughts. What we think about this and that. Often we say and do things out of what we think about. A real, educated person would always think wise and think of what is pleasing to God and people. What we do and say is always a reflection of what and how we look at certain things in life.
All the things mentioned are sort of connected and related to each one. You can't do one and leave the other one behind. These things aren't always stressed out in school but are thought mainly at homes. Looking back, I kinda noticed that most successful people are those who are educated at home. I hope that one day the world sees how important it is to educate children before they are even brought to school. The three things stated are elements that help make the world a peaceful place to live in.
A mixture of life, love, faith, and everything in between. Welcome to my space!
