When I was in grades 3 & 4, I used to collect stickers and sold it at school. For one tiny piece of sticker, I'd get 5o fils where a big book of stickers would normally cost 2-3 dhs. (0.54 USD) It's crazy considering how much profit I was able to make. I would always ask my best friend to buy a book of stickers and I'd just ask her for 10 stickers a day for me to sell. It's funny how she willingly gave me without hesitation while I was there making it a business already!
In my teenage years, I began collecting something else. I had a folder of different shoe photos. Most of it were high-heeled shoes. I'd often rip or cut them off a magazine, research about what type of heels it would be and put it into my collection. I was truly fond of high heels that my parents really didn't want to buy me one at that time. I was devastated perhaps, which led me to collecting instead. Years later, I had real high-heeled shoes. Plenty that I had to sell some of it because I've eventually overgrown 'em. I just couldn't get into the shelf where that folder is, but if I find that golden treasure of mine, I'll be posting it here asap!
Last but not the least, I also collected photos of different hairstyles. I was really fascinated with hairdressing back then that whenever the hairdresser who goes to our church would offer free haircuts, I already had a hairstyle for her to follow upon. My mom encouraged me to collect this by the way and I also got to keep the folder, but I still have to get to that shelf where it must be kept. Also, I'm really proud to say that I cut my own hair! I've learned the V-cut, the straight cut, simple layers, bangs, and bob — all via Youtube. Not bad!
Anyway, I hope you liked this post!
